We only collect what we need to send you ideas and your downloads. We never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

Who we are

The Yes Day Club is run by Abbey Wrangles, trading as The Yes Day Club. You can reach us at hello@theyesdayclub.com or The Yes Day Club, 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG.

This policy covers theyesdayclub.com and the Yes Day Pass planner at yesdaypass.com.

What we collect and why

Our email list

When you sign up for the free 50 Yes Day Ideas guide, we keep your email address, when you signed up and the internet address (IP) you signed up from, as a record that you asked. We use your email to send you the guide and our ideas emails. Like most email services, ours shows us whether emails get opened and which links get clicked, so we know which ideas you like.

We do this because you said yes. Unsubscribe any time with the link at the bottom of every email. After that we only keep your address on a "do not email" list, so you're never added again by mistake.

Buying from the shop

When you buy a printable, we keep your name, email address, country and what you bought, so we can send your download and keep our accounts. Payments go through Stripe, so we never see your card details.

HMRC says we have to keep order records for 6 years. Buying doesn't sign you up to our emails. You'll only get your download email.

Your PDFs are printed with your email address in small type at the foot of each page, and it's saved inside the file too. It's there so that if a pack ever turns up being shared or resold, we can tell where it came from. Nobody else sees it unless you pass the file on.

"Lost your download?"

We use the email address you type in to find your orders and send the links to that address. To stop the form being misused, we keep a scrambled copy that can't be turned back into your address.

Emailing us

If you email us, we use your details to reply. We delete emails after 2 years, unless they're about an order.

The Yes Day Pass

When you buy a Pass, we keep your email address and when your year of access runs out. Payments go through Stripe, just like the shop.

Your plans live in your account: the date, budget and your kids' first names, plus the activities, wish list and memories you add. Only you can see them. We'd only ever look if you asked us to help fix something.

We email you about your Yes Days, like the night-before packing list and the "How was it?" email the day after. These come with the Pass, and you can turn them off in the planner. We also email you before your year runs out.

The weather check sends the town or postcode you type in to a weather service, so it can show the forecast for your day. It doesn't know who you are.

If you buy a Pass as a gift, we keep your email address and anything you write on the gift certificate. When your gift is redeemed, the person it's for gives us their email to set up their own account.

How long we keep it: your plans and memories stay while your Pass is active, and for one more month after it runs out, in case you want to renew. Then we delete them. We keep the order record for 6 years, because HMRC requires it.

The waitlist: before the Pass opens to everyone, we keep your email address so we can tell you when it's ready, and send you the free ideas guide. We delete the waitlist once the Pass has launched.

Competitions

Each competition, like the Book Shelfie challenge, has its own rules page saying what we collect, how photos are used and when entries are deleted.

Cookies

We don't use analytics or advertising trackers. The only cookie we set is on yesdaypass.com, to keep you logged in to the planner for up to 90 days. It's needed for the planner to work, so we don't ask about it first.

Some links go to Amazon and other shops. If you click one, that site may set its own cookies so we can earn a small commission. There's more in our affiliate disclosure.

Who else sees it

We never sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a few trusted services to run the Club, such as our email service, payment provider and website host. They can only use your information to do that job for us, and some of them store it outside the UK with the protections UK law requires. We'd only share it with anyone else if the law said we had to, for example HMRC.

Children

Our ideas are for families, but our email list and shop are for grown-ups. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, fix it, send you a copy, stop using it or delete it (apart from anything we have to keep for HMRC). Just email hello@theyesdayclub.com and we'll reply within a month.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
