Giant wallpaper frieze
Roll out a length of cheap wallpaper and paint a picture as long as the hallway. Space monsters very welcome.
Lie on the floor, strike a pose and get someone to draw round you. Now you've got a life-size outline to fill in with your clothes, your face, your favourite things, or a superhero costume. Kids love seeing how big they really are.
Little ones should keep their eyes closed or face turned away while someone draws round their head.
Cut a piece of paper a bit longer than the child and tape the corners to the floor.
Lie down on it in a fun pose. Arms out, star jump, superhero, or a dance move.
Get a grown-up, brother or sister to draw carefully round the outline with a thick pen. Keep still, it tickles!
Stand up and look at your outline. Draw in your face, hair and clothes.
Colour or paint it in, and add wool hair, fabric clothes or magazine cut-outs if you like.
Hang it on a door or wall at the right height, then stand next to it for a photo.
Our own doodle book, made for kids who can't stop drawing. Blank pages for big ideas, grids for careful drawings and lined pages for writing their own stories. Perfect for keeping the creativity going once the paint's packed away.
